Welcome to TEMIS
Tuvalu's national education data platform
TEMIS is the Tuvalu Ministry of Education's platform for managing student, teacher, and school data across its 9 islands — recording enrolment and attendance, tracking literacy and numeracy, and reporting against multiple national and regional indicator frameworks.
Term Two is drawing to a close, which makes this a good moment to look back over your school's data while the term is still fresh. Three things are worth a few minutes.
Check attendance data across schools. The new Attendance Report Card shows how complete each school's registers are alongside the attendance rate itself — two separate measures, because a school can be marking every register and still have low attendance, or the reverse. Open a school to see a week-by-week breakdown by class, the most common reasons for absence, and a list of students with several consecutive days missed. Anything that looks wrong is usually easier to correct now than at the end of the year.
Look at your TNSE results. Assessment data for Years 4, 5, 6 and 7 is now loaded and analysed in TEMIS, including performance by strand and a separate view comparing results for girls and boys. It is worth seeing how your school's pattern compares with the national picture before planning for Term Three.
Change your password. If you have never changed the password you were first given, or if anyone else has ever used your login, please set a new one. Your account is tied to your school's data and every change you make is recorded against your name — so it matters that it is only you signing in.
